10 Comic Book Movie Plots That Rely On Idiotic Decisions
6. Beverly Switzler Lets An Anthropomorphic Karate Duck Stay At Her House (Howard The Duck)
When Howard the Duck inadvertently got propelled out of his home planet of Duckworld, he ended up in space and ultimately on Earth. His first experience on the planet was to witness a woman - Beverly Switzler - being attacked by thugs and defeats them using his unique style of martial arts Quack-Fu. Now, granted, Howard saved Beverly from an attack, but the fact that she then allowed him to stay at her apartment that night was just stupid. If a human who was hanging around in an alley saved you from an attack, you'd be appreciative, but you wouldn't necessarily consider them sleepover material - let alone an anthropomorphic duck with the ability to beat the crap out of two grown men. It was the catalyst for the movie's plot - which was Beverly trying to help Howard return to his home planet - but it was certainly a naive and potentially dangerous decision by her.
