4. Venom (Spider-Man 3)

Topher Grace's Eddie Brock was a complete and utter wimp. The depiction of the character was far more like the Ultimate version and that ended up making him a whiny and annoying burden on this movie - we'd much rather have seen a more burly Brock, more reminiscent of the classic 616 version of the character. The personality of Brock in this movie carried over to Venom post-transformation. The villain was irritating and far from frightening or intimidating - but he did look pretty cool! The CGI was quite convincing and the merging of alien symbiote and irritating human as very believable, with everything from the gooey parasitic substance the symbiote was made from and the teeth it gave Brock looking impressive. It's just a shame that the character was so disappointing.
