A movie that might not be very well-known to many, this little treat follows a private detective who encounters a cult of Egyptian chainsaw worshipping prostitutes. Yep, that synopsis made me want to watch it too. In the UK this one was just called “Hollywood Hookers” as it’s illegal to use the word chainsaw in the title. An absolute travesty I’m sure you’ll agree.

The leader of this cult is certified chainsaw royalty and old Leatherface himself, Gunnar Hansen, and his climactic fight with B-movie scream queen Linnea Quigley is quite the sight. It’s hard to pick just one kill here, so let’s just go over a few of the standouts. We’ve got a chap in bed being chopped up, another chap in the bath being chopped up and also a couple of chaps being chopped up in the cop shop! Gruesome gore galore!
