10 Craziest Things That Have Been Made Into Movies
7. The Most Annoying YouTube Channel Ever - Fred: The Movie
If you've never come across YouTube sensation Fred before then you're very lucky. With over 2 millions subscribers and dozens of videos boasting obscene numbers of views, he's become a proper franchise with a cartoon spin-off, two music albums and three (THREE?!) movies. So what's the deal with this Fred guy then? Must be doing something right to get so much success. Well, no. There's nothing about him that appeals in any way. Created by teenager Lucas Cruikshank, Fred is an allegedly six year old who records videos on his Mom's camera. He speaks in a fast, high-pitched voice and... that's about it. Every video is essentially Cruikshank screeching for three minutes with shots so franticly cut together it makes Psycho's shower sequences look slow-paced. His channel is one of the most infuriating experiences on a site notorious for irritating vloggers and his film outings only take it further. Riding the bizarre success of the online series, the three movies are painful watches that, without the proper use of earplugs, will make your ears bleed. Fred: The Movie (although the poster bears the obnoxious reversed 'r') was a TV movie in the US, but for some reason UK cinemagoers had to suffer it on the big screen. Thankfully it looked like the character was finished with after the third film (subtitled Camp Fred), but recently new videos started popping up. Sigh, everything really does get rebooted.
