The Watchmen TV series was phenomenal, and one of the best pieces of television to come along for quite some time. What the future holds in store for the characters beyond that remains to be seen, but having the DC Universe clash with those from that world is an exciting, intriguing prospect.
Doomsday Clock somewhat underwhelmed, but seeing Batman meet Ozymandias, Superman clash with Dr. Manhattan, and Rorschach enter Gotham City made for fascinating reading.
On screen, it could be even cooler, and if Warner Bros. is going to embrace the idea of the Flash's powers being used to explore the Multiverse, then bringing these two realities together has all the makings of a crazy crossover that would also be a box office draw.
This is a tale that could have major ramifications for the DC Extended Universe moving forward too. Whether that's stranding DC characters in the Watchmen world or vice versa, there's the potential here for a multitude of stories which brings two very different comic book worlds to the same place.
