10 DCEU Characters That Are Nothing Like The Comics

4. Anatoli Knyazev (KGBeast)

Batman V Superman KGBeast
Warner Bros. & DC

Anatoli Knyazev (Callan Mulvey) has a small role in Batman v Superman as a Russian arms dealer working for Lex Luthor, who helps frame Superman for the carnage in Africa and later kidnaps Martha Kent (before being blown to shreds by Batman).

Though you'd reasonably assume that Knyazev was a generic goon created specifically for Snyder's movie, he in fact made his comic book debut way back in 1988 as the supervillain with the ludicrous moniker KGBeast.

In the comics, he worked for the KGB (obviously) as a master martial artist kitted out with cybernetic enhancements, while rocking attire that can best be described as a "tactical gimp suit" - though more recent comics, such as Rebirth, have thankfully given him more imposing clothing.

Without his famous supervillain name nor any identifying signatures of his comic book namesake, Snyder's take may as well have been any random Russian thug, sadly.
