The Confusing Moment

How does Bond girl Plenty O'Toole (Lana Wood) end up at diamond smuggler Tiffany Case's (Jill St. John) house, where she's mistaken for Tiffany and subsequently drowned by assassins Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd (Bruce Glover and Putter Smith)?

The Deleted Scene

Many of Plenty O'Toole's scenes were cut from Diamonds Are Forever, meaning her arc throughout the film is scarcely coherent at best. But a deleted scene easily explains how Plenty wound up at Tiffany's house.

In the scene, Plenty returns to 007's (Sean Connery) hotel room after being infamously thrown into the pool, where Bond is busy getting down to business with Tiffany.

Plenty then rifles through Tiffany's purse to find the address to her house, heads there, and is presumably caught by Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd. Easy.
