That's also the case in this humorous deleted scene, in which Ansel Elgort's Baby and the criminals he's ferrying around are caught up in a tense moment as two police officers flank their vehicle.

The occupants of the two cars take turns shooting awkward glances at one another, in time with a synth-heavy tune. Just when the viewer starts to suspect the cops might be onto Baby and his colleagues, they make it clear their only concern is him driving with his earphones in.

Although this scene has little bearing on Baby Driver's plot, it's genuinely funny and could have slotted neatly into the final cut.
