Few people are as bafflingly successful - despite a lack of discernible talent - as Sam Worthington. The man is an utter charisma vacuum, but won a number of leading roles in the late Noughties. Worthington broke out in 2009 with the double whammy of Terminator Salvation and Avatar, headlining the most successful movie of all time. After his performances in these films were met with criticism, he continued to make his name with roles in both big and small projects. He headlined the rebooted Clash of the Titans franchise and also led smaller movies like Man on a Ledge and Texas Killing Fields. Few of his performances were met with any praise at all from critics, but he continued to be employed. He has mainly worked on small releases in recent years, but he is set to hit headlines again when he reprises his role as Jake Sully in Avatar 2 in 2016.
