10 Dumb Movie Characters Who Made Disastrous Decisions

6. Richard Kimble - The Fugitive

The Fugitive When Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) is wrongly convicted of murdering his wife, he escapes custody and goes on the run to try and prove his innocence, something which should have been remarkably easy had he just thought for a moment. You see, Kimble lent his house keys to friend Dr. Charles Nichols, but appears to have conveniently forgotten about this for the sake of the mystery; when his wife was killed without a sign of forced entry, wouldn't the first thing on your mind be "Well, who had a key?" And bingo, the film's mystery should have been solved in mere minutes. Though Kimble was focused on staying undetected and clearly had a lot on his mind, he's also proof that just because you're a doctor, it doesn't mean you're going to be quick on the uptake. They say the smartest people have the least common sense, and here that certainly seems to be the case.
