10 Dumbest Character Resurrections In Star Wars History

2. Darth Vitiate

From one eternal Emperor to another, the Dark Lord Vitiate was everything Palpatine aspired to be.

Vitiate is revealed as the main antagonist behind the events of the Knights of the Old Republic video game, the novelisations surrounding Darth Revan, and the Old Republic online MMO RPG. Going by several names, such as Valkorion and Tenebrae, the Eternal Emperor lived dozens if not hundreds of lifetimes over due to his ability to possess other bodies.

He conducted a ritual by luring his fellow Sith Lords to a planet and subsequently drained all of them, including all life on the planet, increasing his powers dramatically and granting him the ability to transfer his consciousness.

In a last-ditch effort, several groups devised the plan to destroy both his physical form and his force entity. His abilities are so mysterious that no one is sure if they've actually managed to kill him or not.

When you create a villain that literally cannot die it takes away from any real stakes the audience has in defeating them, especially for a video game character.

Vitiate is literally the "This isn't even my final form" joke of the Star Wars universe.
