10 Dumbest Decisions In Sci-Fi Movie History

10. Running From A T-Rex In High Heels - Jurassic World

Though Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom concluded with the flabbergastingly dumb decision to have a clone child unleash dinosaurs upon civilisation, at least the person responsible was just nine years old rather than, you know, an actual, functioning adult.

The previous movie doesn't have the same excuse, though, as the very serious and grown-up protagonist Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) bafflingly wears impractical high heels for the entire movie, even when attempting to outrun a T-rex at the end of the movie (and, bizarrely, succeeding).

Of course, it all worked out for Claire in the end as she survived and opted for some decidedly more sensible knee-high boots in the sequel, but were we really supposed to believe someone as hyper-organised and anal-retentive as Claire didn't have a pair of flats lying around?

Howard tried to defend the character decision post-release, calling the heels Claire's "armour", but it looked stupid and made Claire seem like a total goof. If she'd gotten herself killed, this would probably be #1.
