6. If You Want Your Event To Go Smoothly, Prepare For The Worst (Every Movie Ever)
Everyone knows that politics and business are the same thing. Not only are they both only about navigating deals that don't benefit actual people, but they both live by the craft of public relations. And yet somehow, every big meeting in movies is always interrupted. Why don't the coordinators of these events compensate for the eventualities likely to occur as a result of their events taking place? Just ask any real-life event coordinator. If you live in a world with assassins, mutants, or humorously foolhardy cops, prepare for those things. My suspension of disbelief allows for such things as aliens or time travel just fine, but how can I possibly be expected to accept a world in which politics are somehow successful without successful business plans? Step it up, movie event coordinators. The character at the center of the next point, however, needed a PR professional much more than did many coordinated events.
