An intriguing arc that takes place during Star Wars' Clone Wars animated series actually puts the pieces in place for some of the most important interventions in the franchise's history.

With Yoda coming into contact with a seemingly dead Qui-Gon Jinn, the Jedi Master is soon ordered to head to Dagobah, a move that would eventually see the wise being learn things even he didn't know about the mystical Force.

He's then put through a number of demanding trials by the Five Priestesses as he looks to discover how to achieve life after death like Qui-Gon, the last of which sees him actually travel to the Sith homeworld of Moraband and come face-to-face with visions of Darth Bane and Master Sifo-Dyas.

Sure enough, Yoda is able to pass the increasingly challenging tests, many of which force him to reflect on certain events that have brought him guilt and pain over the years. And he would soon be told by a Priestess that he had proved himself worthy of continuing training with Jinn's spirit to learn how to return after death via the connection between the Living and Cosmic Force.

In the end, this entire series of often surreal events would pretty much influence everything from a Force Spirit Obi-Wan Kenobi vitally guiding Luke Skywalker in A New Hope, to Luke Skywalker eventually doing the same with Rey in The Rise of Skywalker in the years to come.

So, to class it as important would be a bit of an understatement.
