10 Exact Moments We Knew Horror Movie Characters Were Doomed To Die
8. A Nightmare On Elm Street - Tina Has Sex
Though it's not quite on the level of Pyscho or Scream, the original Nightmare on Elm Street does attempt something of a protagonist bait and switch.
That's because at the start of Wes Craven's legendary slasher we're first introduced to Tina. She has the initial dream encounter with the sinister Freddy Krueger, and as we're introduced to her set of friends, it seems as though she's going to be the protagonist.
However, if you've versed yourselves in the rules of horror movies (that Craven himself would send up a few decades later), you know early on that she's not long for this world.
That's because, shortly before her death, Tina breaks away from her friends to enjoy a spot of lovemaking with her bad boy boyfriend in the bedroom.
This being 80s horror though we know that no female character depraved enough to have the sex is making it out alive, and as such it's little surprise when Tina is swiftly (and brutally) slashed to death and the main character role is passed over to the innocent Nancy.
