As far as decisions go, taking MDMA while a masked killer is hunting down your friends is probably going to be one you regret.
In the case of Alison Brie's Michelle in slasher flick The Rental though, you can't really blame her. She's completely unaware as to the drama going on and the fate about to befall her friends.
That's because, after a night of partying and getting high, her husband has just cheated on her with his work colleague, an act which was caught on spy cameras littered around the holiday home they're all holed up in. While they're hungover and trying to figure out who the hell has this footage, Michelle decides to have a one-woman party to enjoy her time off - completely oblivious to the fact that someone is clearly watching the house with sinister intentions.
Unsurprisingly this puts her at a handicap when the reality of the situation is revealed, and she attempts to drive to safety. Of course, this only isolates her and makes her easy pickings for the killer.
