9. The Climax - Spider-Man 3
Sony PicturesAlthough Spider-Man 3's extensive list of villains is one of the many non-dancing related problems with the movie, it does make for an exciting, all-out hero vs. villain battle. The conflict of Spider-Man and the reformed Harry Osborn against the visually intimidating Sandman and Venom is, for what it's worth, an epic conglomeration of everything the film develops. In the comic book movie universe, this was the closest the audience got to a fully-formed universe until the introduction of Marvel's Phase 1 lineup. Despite the lackluster build-up of the story, the scene is a lengthy splurge of both superhero battles and rising stakes. All of this leads to an incredible payoff with stunts, CGI, and setup that could not have occurred in earlier films.
