10 Most Excrutiatingly Annoying Comic Book Movie Characters
6. Johnny Storm (Fantastic Four)
Nobody likes a smart a**, and Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch from the Fantastic Four movies is one of comic book cinema's all-time smart a**es. Though good looking and an extremely skilled athlete, he's also immensely cocky and arrogant, coming to frequent blows with the other members of the group. He also serves frequently as comic relief, resulting in one memorably awful exchange from the first movie, where his thermal powers charge a thermometer, to which a nurse says, "Wow, you're hot" and Storm replies, "Why, thank you. So are you." I can't blame Chris Evans for this one bit: as he's proven in his current role as Captain America, he's an extremely likeable actor, and really, can an actor ever be much better than the lines they're given? With the impending Fantastic Four reboot due to start shooting in the coming months, director Josh Trank has a golden opportunity to erase those cringe-inducing memories, and with an actor of Michael B. Jordan's caliber playing Storm, hopefully they won't screw it up.
