10 Famous Actors Who Are Skipping Movies In 2019

1. Henry Cavill

Like Andrew Garfield before him, Henry Cavill's upcoming slate could have looked very different had his tenure as a classic American superhero panned out a little better.

In this case, that hero is Superman, and at the moment, nobody seems to know whether he's ever going to play the role again. Even the people involved with making that decision seem confused; one week, reports emerge that Cavill is done with the character, and the next, conflicting stories begin to spread. Just this week, Variety reported that Warner Bros will not be moving ahead with a new Superman movie. It's all a bit of a mess.

Only two things are clear right now: Cavill's Superman isn't a surefire bet for another appearance, and we won't be seeing the actor in a movie in 2019.

Moving all that Superman drama to one side, Cavill hasn't joined any upcoming movie projects - that we know of. But that doesn't mean it'll be an uneventful year for the actor. He recently boarded Netflix's The Witcher series in a leading role, and while we don't know its release date yet, late 2019 is a likely slot.

He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
