10 Famous Actors Who Tried A Music Career

5. Joe Pesci

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0318Opbi-xU Joe Pesci might be known for being part of one of the best acting double acts of all time alongside Robert de Niro, but acting has not always been his only line of work. Whilst he was acting from a child, Pesci also moonlighted at times as a lounge singer, performing in another double act with Frankie Vincent, performing comedy songs. As his acting career took off after Raging Bull though, that line of work died out for a considerable period of time. Pesci would return to his roots in 1998 though, releasing the album "Vincent LaGuardia Gambini Sings Just for You", using the name of his character from the comedy film "My Cousin Vinny", with the lead track from the album sharing the same title as the film. Ostensibly a comedy effort, the album did not sit well with critics; nevertheless, Pesci announced a retirement from acting in 1999 so he could focus on a music career. No more full albums were released though, and Pesci would return to his most popular career six years later.
