10 Famous Actors Who Tried To Be Musicians (And Hilariously Failed)

2. Eddie Murphy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDbpzjbXUZI After releasing two acclaimed comedy albums in the early 1980s, Eddie Murphy was another actor coaxed into giving singing a try, resulting in 1985's How Could It Be, which was universally destroyed by critics, though resulted in considerable chart success, with single Party All the Time hitting #2 on the charts. The infamous music video only makes Murphy's evident lack of enthusiasm even clearer, and on another note, its lead vocals suspiciously sound absolutely nothing like Murphy. Also, why is there a guy playing guitar in the background even though the song clearly features no guitar work whatsoever? Anyway, Murphy released two more albums before the lack of critical and commercial success finally caused him to give up. Though not releasing anymore albums, Murphy has returned to music in the last few years, releasing a bizarre reggae track featuring Snoop Lion, and several other tunes, none of which managed to chart at all. Is any more evidence of Murphy's lack of musical talent needed? What any self-respecting Murphy fan would like, though, is another profane stand-up album.
