7. Edward Furlong
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxYwfjg2vL8 One of the more unexpected and downright weird side-projects to come out of Hollywood is the J-pop career of young Edward Furlong, who is of course best remembered for playing John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. At the tender age of 14, Furlong released the 1991 album Hold on Tight, which was curiously only released in Japan, where the actor had an inexplicably large cult following after the release of T2. Listening to the title song provides enough evidence that it was an unmitigated disaster: the musical production is horribly corny, and Furlong has no discernible musical talent, at least at his young age, where he was likely convinced to do the project by a predatory marketing shark looking to exploit his fame. Unsurprisingly, Furlong released no further albums and, were it not for
awkward, creepy promotional videos of the album leaking onto YouTube, it would probably just be long-forgotten by now.
