10 Fan-Favourite Deleted Scenes (That Are Secretly Terrible)

9. How The Terminator Got Arnold's Face - Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines

One of the many unsolved mysteries of The Terminator series is why the T-800 is modelled after an Austrian bodybuilder. Spin-off comics and novels have provided various explanations yet the movies have never provided an answer, although Terminator 3 €“ which holds the Faint Praise Award for being the best non-James Cameron entry - was brave enough to try. A deleted scene shows military brass watching a video showing off new Skynet technology, which has Schwarzenegger playing a US soldier dubbed with a thick Southern accent. He explains he was chosen as the face of the future models, and when someone complains that his voice is wrong the man in charge says in Schwarzenegger€™s voice €œWe can fix it.€ LOL? Despite some fans liking this scene for finally providing an explanation, it tips the whole movie over into cheesy comedy. T3 already played too many scenes for laughs, and this sequence would have stretched things too far.
