10 Fan Theories For Upcoming Movies (That We Hope Are True)

Han Lue (Sung Kang) and Gisele Yashar (Gal Gadot) became unlikely fan-favourites after being introduced in 2006's Tokyo Drift, and 2009's Fast & Furious, respectively - so much so that they soon became regular members of the Fast family.

Unfortunately, the two died in Furious 6, with Gisele falling to her death on a runway, and Han having his car rammed by Deckard Shaw (a repeat of a scene from Tokyo Drift). But rather than fading into obscurity, love for the two characters has only grown.

Since Gisele's death, Gadot has rocketed to stardom as Wonder Woman, and the fan appreciation for Han has continued to balloon, with the #JusticeForHan movement being a popular discussion topic to this very day. A return for these two characters would be met with a lot of fan enthusiasm, and, inevitably, there are a ton of fan theories that explain how they could have survived, and how they could come back.

The Fast & Furious franchise has a habit of killing off popular characters - in a seemingly definitive manner - only to bring them back later on, like when Letty "died" in a massive explosion, and Owen Shaw fell from a plane. Plus, we never actually saw Han's or Gisele's bodies, which is basically movie-speak for "we're leaving a little wiggle room here in case we decide to bring that character back".

With Hobbs and Shaw sitting out Fast 9, Letty growing flatter with each movie, and Roman continuing to prove one of the most annoying characters in movie history, the Fast family is in desperate need of some likeable members, and Han and Gisele are the perfect candidates.
