10 Female Superheroes Who Should Get Their Own Film

6. Bulleteer

Black Widow Scarlett Johansson
DC Comics

Bulleteer is a really interesting character for a lot of reasons. She is just an average girl who undergoes a superhero transformation as the result of her husbands's scientific experiments (an accident that, tragically enough, also leads to his death).

So this is a character who is navigating not just having extreme, incredibly visible powers (her Smartskin gives her the power of flight and superhuman strength, but also makes her metallic in a way that stands out in a crowd), but also dealing with feelings of grief for her husband (made more complicated by the reason that he was interested in becoming a superhero in the first place was because he was obsessed with a underage porn star with superpowers, but that's a different story for a different time).

She only decides to be a hero when her suicide attempt is interrupted by a burning building full of people she ultimately decides to save. Bulleteer has a super dark origin story and it would be cool to see all of this told from a female point of view.
