10 Female Superheroes Who Should Get Their Own Film

2. Ms. Marvel

The world would be a much better place if Ms. Marvel, specifically the current iteration of the character, could have her own movie. Because sure, if you want to be pedantic, the first person to use the name Ms. Marvel was Carol Danvers, who then went on to call herself Captain Marvel and is getting a movie starring Brie Larson slated to be released in 2019. But we're talking about Kamala Khan, the most recent version who debuted back in 2013.

Who has to deal with not only being a teenage superhero, but growing up as a Pakistani-American Muslim in the current political climate that we're all forced to live in. The sheer potential for such an interesting, unconventional take on the superhero role is limitless. What's also really interesting about Ms. Marvel is that it's unusually meta -- as in, Kamala is a fangirl of a ton of the in-universe superheroes. And with the popularity of Deadpool right now, another self-referential superhero is probably more than welcome to audiences.
