7. American History X (1998)
Derek and Danny are two brothers, bright students and nice young men, whose world is turned upside down by the death of their fireman father. He was murdered by a young black drug dealer when he was trying to put out a fire. Derek is so upset by this, he joins a neo-Nazi gang. When three members of the notorious gang - the Crips - try to steal Derek's truck he goes after them in maniac, ultraviolent fashion. He opens fire and kills one and then, in one of the most sickening scenes in Hollywood history, Derek curb stomps another Crips member. This scene is so disgusting and harrowing it sends shivers down your spine and your jaw aches in sympathy. This is part of a brilliant film about race relations and an excellent performance by Edward Norton.
