One of the most mysterious films to screen footage out of all the panels was Drew Goddard's Bad Times at the El Royale. It's got an all-star cast, including Jeff Bridges, Chris Hemsworth, Jon Hamm, Russel Crowe, and Dakota Johnson, and the basic premise is known to be that of a cast of characters all coming together at a sleazy hotel over the course of a single night.

But even after the screening, little else is known about the film.

The footage was incredibly reminiscent of Goddard's sole other feature film, A Cabin in the Woods, in terms of tone. It looked both funny and incredibly scary. The cinematography was gorgeous and teased the audeince with some sure-to-be-iconic imagery such as the cast wearing horrifyingly strange masks and a dancing, shirtless Chris Hemsworth, ala Oscar Isaac in Ex Machina.

Fox's panel had footage from a lot of different and strange films, but Bad Times at the El Royale nearly stole the stage out from underneath all of them.
