Another holiday classic and yet another production and screenplay by John Hughes.

In the third installment of the Vacation film series, Chevy Chase returns as family man Clark Griswold in an effort to have the picture-perfect Christmas holiday with the family. However, in typical Clark fashion, the festivities spiral into chaos.

Featuring an excellent supporting cast that included the returning Beverly D'Angelo and Randy Quaid, as well as appearances from Brian Doyle-Murray and a young Julia Louis Dreyfus, Christmas Vacation has obtained a cult following since the film's release in 1989.

Often considered to be rare exception to the standard 'over saturation' criticisms that are usually associated with sequels, the Christmas classic was the highest grossing film of the original series, making $73 million at the box office, and has since become a must watch film during the festive period.
