10 Gaping Plot-Holes Hollywood Thought You'd Miss

8. How Did Edward Get All That Ice? (Edward Scissorhands)

Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands is a wonderful film and one of my personal favourites, so to come to this conclusion was an unfortunate one. Edward (Johnny Depp) lives alone in his giant house in the hills, and spends his time carving beautiful ice sculptures. But how is this possible when Edward hasn't had any human contact in years? Why does Edward need human help? Just look at him. The guy has freaking scissors for hands; how is he going to procure any ice of his own? Short of his now-dead dad (Vincent Price) constructing an elaborate contraption to somehow acquire ice for him, it doesn't exactly seem very plausible, does it? Maybe his dad had a system that pumped water into a freezer, and the freezer had a specially constructed, magnetised handle that would open easily with Edward's scissorhands? No? We thought it was a stretch too.
