10 Giant Plot-Holes You Didn’t Notice In 2016’s Biggest Movies

3. The Magic Gatling Gun - The Magnificent Seven

X Men Apocalypse Michael Fassbender
MGM

The western remake's finale sees the villainous Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard) sending his men after the titular heroes in a gloriously brutal city-set final showdown.

Bogue eventually has one of his lackeys get out a gatling gun, a mounted machine gun which has a fixed position and so can only be aimed horizontally, not vertically.

Though it makes sense that the gun would make Swiss cheese out of ground level, there's the highly implausible moment where the gunman takes out both Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke) and his pal Billy Rocks (Lee Byung-hun), who are hanging out in a bell tower a good 20-or-so feet in the air.

Sure, the frantic editing makes this one easy to miss, but it's still jarring as Hell if you do notice it.
