10 Good Films With Bad Titles
5. Captain America: Civil War
Captain America: Civil War tells the story of the collapse of The Avengers because of a disagreement between Captain America and Iron Man. The film forces you to choose between two of your favourite MCU characters as they both make compelling arguments about whether to sign the Sokovia Accords, a proposal to keep superheroes regulated by the government. Iron Man supports the Accords, while Captain America opposes them, and the two come to blows once Steve's old friend Bucky reemerges.
However, the film implants some initial bias onto the audience with the title alone. When you're watching Captain America: Civil War, of course you'll be inclined to root for Captain America over Iron Man. The two leads have about the same amount of screen time, and the filmmakers make sure to keep them on equal ground. But the film compromises that neutrality just by calling itself a Captain America movie.
