10 Good Films With Bad Titles
4. Ford V Ferrari
Ford V Ferrari has the opposite problem as Captain America: Civil War. The film follows a car designer and racecar driver as they team up to create an entry for Ford in the Le Mans race that can compete with the superior Ferrari brand. Both our leads work for Ford, so Ford are clearly the good guys in this film. However, the title implies that we'll spend just as much time with the Ferrari crew, given that Ford and Ferrari have equal billing. That's like calling Harry Potter "Harry V Voldemort."
In some territories, the film is titled Le Mans '66, which works better. It doesn't imply that Ford and Ferrari are on the same page, and gives it the feel of a classic underdog sports story.
