10 Goriest Films Of All Time

1. Guinea Pig 2: Flower of Flesh and Blood (1985)

Guinea Pig 2 Notorious torture/gore 'film' from our Nippon friends, Flower of Flesh and Blood is pretty much the holiest of the holies when it comes to splatter and gore. In fact the film is just one big extended gore sequence. You might have a problem with the storyline - which is scant but repugnant. A guy dressed as a Samurai kidnaps a woman and brings her back to his torture dungeon where he proceeds to dismember her in graphic detail - and that is it. If you love J Horror or you are a patron of disgusting movies, you will love Guinea Pig 2. It is designed to shock and appal. The film is frequently mistaken as a snuff movie (Charlie Sheen watched it and was so convinced what he had seen a bonafide snuff movie he passed it to the FBI). It is not snuff, but it is nonetheless exceedingly grim viewing. Staunch blood and guts enthusiasts only.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
