10 Great DC Characters That Should Get A Solo Movie (But Won’t)

Jay Hernandez’s El Diablo was the surprise breakout character of Suicide Squid, and his emotional arc was the movie’s most satisfying. He also had an actual superpower too, and wasn’t just handy with a baseball bat or boomerang.

The character’s unique backstory and powers could have made good fodder for a smaller scale spin-off, but since he got blown to bits in the finale the odds of that are slim. Even if he wasn’t he likely wouldn’t be considered since the character is small fry next to Deadshot or The Joker, characters who would surely be preferred by fans for solo adventures.

A pity, since the character is genuinely compelling and it would be nice to see Hernandez continue on in the role somewhere down the line.
