4. The Question

In addition to his cool gadgets and vehicles, Batman is also supposed to be a great detective, though the films haven’t really dived into this side. Sure, he’ll occasionally do a little snooping around, but most problems are solved with a little punching.

However, one unique DC character who’s all about being an awesome detective is The Question, aka Vic Sage. The character has an unwavering sense of right and wrong, and uses a special mask to blank out his face. Sage uses his big brain to solve various crimes and mysteries, though he’s handy with his fists when he has to be.

Perhaps the most popular version of The Question appeared in the Justice League cartoon, voiced by Jeffrey Combs. He’s portrayed as a neurotic genius with a dry sense of humour, and he regularly stole the show. If that version of the character was featured in a solo movie it would definitely add something new to the genre, though it could be a hard sell, since the guy has no face and explosions would kept to the minimum.

For those reasons, maybe a TV show would be a better fit.
