DC fans will probably know the character best from Arrow, where he’s played by Brandon Routh, plus his appearances in the Justice League and Teen Titans comics. He’s a great supporting character basically, but he deserves a vehicle of his own. That won’t happen for the simple reason that his powers are too close to Ant-Man’s, and DC will want to avoid Marvel comparisons wherever possible.

There’s still a chance he’ll appear in future Justice League movies, but a solo adventure would just raise unfavourable comparisons. At best, a Routh led TV spin-off is the best fans can hope for.
