10 Great DC Characters That Should Get A Solo Movie (But Won’t)

2. Bizarro

Superman is often criticised for being a one-note character, a good two-shoes who’s all powerful and always does the right time. That’s a bit of simplification, but he’s not exactly the deepest of characters either. That’s why it can be hard for actors to bring much depth to him, and poor Henry Cavill got a critical drubbing for his “one-note” turn in Dawn Of Justice.

Maybe the key to fixing that would be to give Bizarro, Superman’s evil clone, a shot at big screen stardom. He’s basically a wacky version Supes, and is often featured as a villain or anti-hero. In some stories, he tries to live up to Superman’s ideals but messes up because he’s kind of an idiot.

With Deadpool giving audiences a taste for alternate, funny superheroes a Bizarro movie could be an interesting experiment. Plus it would give Henry Cavill a chance to stretch his acting muscles, and be less broody. Warner Bros are unlikely to take a chance basing a whole movie around the guy, though, and at best he's likely to appear as a villain in a solo Superman flick.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
