10 Great Directors Who Should Really Helm A Superhero Movie

6. Paul McGuigan

Paul Mcguigan1 I know McGuigan as the director of the film Lucky Number Sleven, a film in which Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley play rival gangsters and Josh Hartnett just sort of runs back and forth helplessly between them being handsome. But I suppose most would know him as the director of four of the six existing episodes of Sherlock. That fact alone ought to be enough to a cause a literal earthquake of fan-casting from the depths of Tumblr, strong enough to shake the very Earth from its axis and send us careening towards the sun. Why, that's a situation right out of a superhero comic, the premise kind of adaptation I would love to see McGuigan develop. Huh, that metaphor came back in a roundabout way. Almost like I planned it like that.
