10 Great Marvel Characters Yet To Appear In A Movie
7. Enchantress
When Marvel launched a series of Thor films, the name Enchantress naturally popped into conversations about which supporting characters should be included. After all she’s been in Marvel comics since 1964, first appearing opposite Thor in Journey Into Mystery #103.
Her sister Lorelei has already appeared in the Marvel Universe, in Agents of SHIELD, as a protagonist during a crossover episode, but it's time she made her own bow.
The bit part appearance of Lorelei is both encouraging, showing a willingness for Marvel to expand their complement of Asgardian characters, and worrying, given that Lorelei was only used in one episode of a TV show.
Where Enchantress is fairly unique is her power to seduce men and bend them to her will for as long as she can kiss them (not unlike Poison Ivy).
There’s also a possibility that Marvel are avoiding using an overtly sexual character in a film series designed, ultimately, for inclusive audiences.
