10 Great Movies About Making Movies

7. Ed Wood

No other director could have done as good of a job bringing the 1994 biopic of Ed Wood, one of Hollywood's most notoriously awful directors, to the screen better than Tim Burton. This film shows how much charisma Wood had in getting his films financed, even if he had no idea what to do when the cameras were rolling. Burton, along with Johnny Depp in the lead role, take us on a very entertaining ride about how sometimes cinema can be so bad, it's good. Also add in Martin Landau in a brilliant Oscar winning performance as the washed up drug addled Bela Lugosi, and you have quite the slice of terrific, yet weird Hollywood history.
