10 Great Movies Starring Breaking Bad Actors You Need To See

1. Giancarlo Esposito - Do The Right Thing (1989)

The Infiltrator
Universal Pictures

The best film starring a Breaking Bad cast member came out long before the journey of Walt White was envisioned, but it remains one of the most evocative, timeless and timely movies ever made.

The slice-of-life dramedy takes place in a predominately African-American area of Brooklyn, where racial tensions reach an all-time high and violence eventually erupts after a Black man called Radio Raheem (Bill Nunn) is killed by police officers.

Director Spike Lee paints a deeply affecting and troubling portrait of racist attitudes in America, but it's with the characters that Do the Right Thing scores its biggest victory.

Lee, Nunn, Samuel L. Jackson, Rosie Perez, Danny Aiello and John Turturro are all on phenomenal form, crafting out of their performances some of the most memorable characters of the 80s, and they're joined by a rarely-better Giancarlo Esposito as the funny, flawed and fiery Buggin' Out, whose actions kick off the main bulk of the movie.

Esposito has been in some great films (The Usual Suspects, Malcolm X), but Do the Right Thing takes the cake without fault.
