10 Great Movies Starring The Cast Of Buffy The Vampire Slayer

2. Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery

Of all the Buffy graduates, there’s an argument to be made that Seth Green’s career has been the finest, or at least most consistent. He’s busiest these days with voiceover work, but has appeared in plenty of solid to good films, like Pump Up The Volume, Josie And The Pussycats, and the aforementioned Rat Race.

If we’re being honest, though, he peaked early with 1997’s bonafide classic Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Powers is better remembered as a fancy dress option than a cultural icon these days, and that’s nothing short of a crime: the three films, particularly the first, hold up remarkably well as entirely daft comedies everyone can enjoy.

Green is excellently cast as Scott, the snotty son of series antagonist Dr Evil. He’s used to hammer home some of the film’s Bond spoofing, lampshading the unnecessarily complex nature of his dad’s schemes and demonstrating terrific comic chemistry with Mike Myers in all his guises.

Green is allowed to expand the character in the follow up films, and like most of the cast looks as though he’s having a great time. You can’t not have fun while watching these films.
