10 Great Movies Starring The Cast Of Community

8. Joel McHale - Ted (2012)

Happiest Season Alison Brie
Universal Pictures

The 2012 Seth MacFarlane comedy follows a foul-mouthed teddy bear and his friendship with Mark Wahlberg. It’s weird, it’s wacky, it’s hilarious. So hilarious that it took the throne of being the biggest comedy ever after The Hangover held that title for three years.

Marky Mark’s best friend may be Ted, but his nemesis is none other than the ever-flirtatious Joel McHale. Serving as a villain in the film, McHale is Wahlberg’s sworn enemy. The Community star stole the show in the scenes he was in and was certainly a great addition to the cast. With the ridiculous adult humour featured in Ted, McHale's performance was a stand-out as he expoertly delivered lines alongside Wahlberg and the animated bear.

Ted was a huge risk, and even the cast and crew weren’t sure it was going to be a success, but luckily they all had enough faith and it worked excellently. The film was well received and went on to get a sequel, Ted 2.
