10 Great Sci-Fi Movie Villains Who Only Appeared Once

7. T1000 - T2: Judgement Day

This one is hard to believe.

It scarcely seems possible that Robert Patrick’s terrifying T-100 only ever appeared onscreen in 1990’s T2: Independence Day, proving so scary that even Arnie was believably outclassed by him on numerous occasions during the intense action flick.

Decades after the release of the film, it’s difficult to estimate just how influential the iconic appearance and demeanour of the stern, stoic liquid metal monstrosity is, and much this villain’s design has been ripped off in later lesser sci-fi flicks. Nowadays smooth, mercurial melting metal androids are seen onscreen more often than their clunkier predecessors, and actors borrow from the taciturn personality of the T-1000 as often as designers jack his style.

However, despite the T-1000’s ability to revive his actor’s impressive screen career and its enduring influence, we only got a single onscreen appearance from Skynet’s scariest creation, and it’s a crying shame he never returned to menace the cineplex in the years since.
