10 Great Under The Radar Movies Still To Come In 2016

5. Dog Eat Dog

Nicolas Cage hasn’t had a great deal of luck in recent years; after running up a massive tax bill he was forced to say yes to just about anything for a cheque, leading to a solid decade of crap. He’s still capable of strong work – see Kick-Ass or Bad Lieutenant – and Dog Eat Dog might just be a return to form.

He teams up once again with director Paul Schrader – who wrote little movies like Taxi Driver and Raging Bull – for a dark crime thriller, where he plays an ex-con who teams up with an old friend (Willem Dafoe) to kidnap a baby. Expectedly, things spiral wildly out of control from there.

The trailer alone is filled with dark humour and shocking violence, and it’s hard to believe a film with Cage, Schrader and Dafoe won’t be something worth seeing.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
