10 Greatest "I'm Dead And I Know It" Moments From Stargate

5. Heru'ur - The Serpent's Venom

Heru'ur had been a minor antagonist for much of the early seasons of Stargate SG-1. As usual, he had a fearsome reputation, though in reality, he was a relatively small fish in a big pond. So, seeking to build his own strength considerably, he sought out an alliance with Apophis.

SG-1 once again put paid to these plans. Teal'c had been captured by Heu'ur, and was almost at the point of being transferred directly to Apophis's mothership. However, Teal'c manages to escape from his torturer, with the aid of the very Jaffa who originally took him prisoner. Together, they overpower the guards, transporting one to Apophis's ship in Teal'c's place. SG-1 had also planted a mine that impacts the ship as well.

Convinced that Heru'ur is mocking him, Apophis sends the signal to decloak the entire fleet that he had hidden around them both. Heru'ur, seeing exactly what is about to happen, has no words at all. Gone is all of the usual bravado for a Gou'uld. Instead, he looks down, knowing that there is nothing he can do. Apophis gives the command, opens fire, and that is the end of Heru'ur.
