10 Greatest Book To Movies Adaptations Ever

6. Dr. Strangelove (Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb)

strangeloveFilm Directed By: Stanley Kubrick Original Work By: Peter George Adapted from George's Red Alert, Dr. Strangelove is one of the greatest comedies in cinema history, alongside Some Like It Hot. No other director could have pulled of a satire on nuclear war, and what a job Kubrick did. Peter Sellers is the star of this film, with his multiple portrayals, a method he had used successfully on a previous Kubrick film. The magic of Dr. Strangelove was not the acting, not the writing or the directing, but a combination of the three that managed to make people at the time feel a little more relaxed about the situation, because what many of the current generation do not realise is that the threat of Nuclear War between America and Russia was a serious threat.

I like Stanley Kubrick, Gore Vidal & Daniel Day-Lewis. I do not like the United States, Obama and most other Presidents.
