10 Greatest Comedic Cameos That Dominated Their Respective Films
9. Michael Cera This Is The End (2013)
For fans of any one of Judd Apatow's films, the prospect of This Is The End was certainly one to whet the appetite. The film details Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel going to James Franco's house for a party. All manner of celebrities attend, with the likes of Craig Robinson, Emma Watson, Jonah Hill, Jason Segel, Rihanna, Kevin Hart, Azis Ansari and Christopher Mintz-Plassee. The film is a ton of fun by watching all of these actors poking fun at themselves and each other. While everyone plays an exaggerated version of themselves, no one was more over-the-top or ridiculously enjoyable than Michael Cera. Cera's made a name for himself by playing nerdy, awkward characters that always try to get the girl, first showcased on Arrested Development. Then he continued doing pretty much the exact same thing with roles in Juno, Superbad, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Year One, Paper Heart, Youth in Revolt and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. That's why his cameo in This Is The End is such a stand-out moment, because it's so far and away from what he's actually like, or at least the characters he always seems to be portraying on the silver screen. In this film, he's a sex-crazed, coke-addicted moron.
