10 Greatest Ever Stoner Movies

In a case of mistaken identity, Jeffery "The Dude" Lebowski finds himself wrapped up in a kidnapping after being confused with a millionaire of the same name. Lebowski is hired by the millionaire to retrieve his missing wife, by delivering the ransom. plans go awry when The Dude's friend Walker Sobchak (John Goodman), tries to convince him to keep the money. 

This over the top film doesn't hold anything back. Watching it feels kind of like being on a funfair ride - you're not sure what's going on exactly, but you just know that it's brilliant. With so many crazy side-characters, sometimes it's hard to keep track, but it's exactly the kind of adventure you'd want from the Coen brothers. 

Julianne Moore and Steve Buscemi also star, with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Tara Reid appearing in supporting roles.

Best Moment

At the police office, The Dude is being questioned and a frustrated cop throws his mug at his head. There's something about the hallow clink of it hitting off his skull that will always be funny.
